Pre-shipment diagnostics and ESP32 Quick Start firmware

Loaded ESP32-based products are prepared before shipment so customers have a clear first setup path instead of receiving a blank board.

Pre-Shipment Diagnostics
Checked before the order goes out

Before a Loaded product ships, WestTech Home Automation performs a basic diagnostic check on the installed ESP32 path. This helps confirm the device powers on, boots correctly, and is ready for the customer setup process.

Quick Start Firmware
Installed for easier first setup

Loaded ESP32-based products ship with WestTech Home Automation ESP32 Quick Start firmware installed. It is designed to make the device easier to find, connect, and verify on your network before you upload your own project firmware.

Why this family exists

Ranger Bucks is for customers who like the Ranger footprint but need a buck-ready layout support instead of the simpler Ranger Standard path.

Best Fit

More room for flexible project layouts

Best when Scout feels tight, when wiring needs more breathing room, or when the project benefits from a larger internal footprint while still staying in a practical indoor enclosure family.

Buying Direction

Strong for DIY and repeatable installer work

Ranger Bucks Unloaded is designed for customers who know their hardware path and need more space. Ranger Bucks Loaded is the step up when you want WestTechHA to pre-load the family with the appropriate hardware instead.

Printed material, brass inserts, and indoor-use limits

Customers should understand the filament, serviceable brass insert hardware, and use limitations before choosing an application.

Printed Material
PLA+ 2.0

WestTechHA enclosure families are printed in PLA+ 2.0 for indoor use.

Use Limitation
Indoor use only

These enclosures are not IP-rated and are not designed for wet or direct sunlight locations. Customers should confirm the intended environment is appropriate before ordering.

Brass Inserts
Serviceable threaded mounting points

Current WestTech Home Automation enclosures include brass threaded inserts at key mounting points. These inserts make the enclosure easier to assemble, reopen, service, and reuse during future hardware changes without wearing out printed plastic screw holes.
